SoildCAD, a Cansel company recently added the Leica Geosystem to their growing product line. The BLK360 imaging laser scanner is the smallest, most easy-to-use imaging laser scanner in the world. Paired with Autodesk ReCap® Pro for mobile it simplifies the way you document, design, and measure.

With accurate 360o HDR spherical imagery scans up to a 60 m and 2D, 3D or thermal imaging scan views, the Lecia BLK360 is a step above the rest.

So what do you get with the Leica Geosystems BLK360?

Hardware

The 1kg BLK360 delivers push button 360º, HDR spherical imagery combined with a dimensionally accurate laser point cloud.

Software

The ReCap Pro for mobile app running on a 12.9” or 10.5” iPad Pro (not included), processes the BLK360 imagery and scan so you can view your data, measure, annotate and collaborate.

InfraWorks

InfraWorks

There has been a significant change to Infraworks’ services.

1. It will no longer be possible to create new analyses such as Watershed, Traffic, Line Girder, Profile, and Corridor in 2018.2 and earlier versions of Infraworks.  In addition, web and mobile views will need to be recreated.

Upgrading to Infraworks 2019 when it becomes available is required to use these features.  This step was taken to improve the security of your data by meeting SOC2 standards, and to conform to new EU data protection regulations.

2. The following services will be retired.

a. Create Civil 3D drawings from InfraWorks models.

b. Some cloud-based data translation. Additional software may be required to be installed onto your workstations.

AutoCAD 2019

Autodesk has released the latest iteration of its flagship drafting application AutoCAD.  Here are some of the highlights.

  • AutoCAD 2019 remains on the 2018 format. Files saved with 2019 can be opened in 2018.

DWG Compare

AutoCAD will highlight the differences between two selected drawings.

Shared Views

Share a view of your AutoCAD drawing online with others. Those users are not required to have AutoCAD installed since the AutoCAD file is viewed online in their web browser.  The DWG is not uploaded to the cloud, only the shared view.  Invited participants can view, print, measure, and mark up the view.

Apps

Autodesk has two apps for viewing and editing online; The Web app and the Mobile app.
