The second update for Civil 3D 2026 was released last week. It has some pretty exciting new tools and some long-standing feature requests have been granted. Here is the official documentation.
Feature Lines
- Documentation.
- Significant performance enhancements when selecting and editing. Who doesn’t like better performance?
- Fixed an issue when offsetting a siteless feature line.
- Edit a feature line like a polyline. This one is my favourite!
Project Explorer
Autodesk Docs
- Documentation.
- If you’re a Docs user, you may be pleased that the Civil Tools are now available inside Model Coordination.
- DWG Integrity and Migration for Docs 3.0 replaces the DWG Migration for Docs and adds functionality. The new tool is available where one would expect it: in Autodesk Account. Not the App Store.
- Autodesk Bulk Upload. This allows for the upload of large files, folders, and projects from your desktop to collaborative cloud projects while maintaining drawings and Civil 3D references. Interestingly, it can be downloaded from the Autodesk Docs help page.
Sheet Set Manager
- Documentation.
- There is no more SSM for Web! The original Sheet Set Manager has been reworked to be compatible with cloud workflows. SSM for Web had some significant parity losses when compared with the original. All the functionality exists now. You need to install the AutoCAD 2026.1.1 update AND this new Civil 3D update to get it.
- It looks the same as before.
Drainage Tools
- Documentation.
- This was a “Tech Preview” when 2026 was released, but now it is production-ready with many fixes and enhancements.
- Create Ponds, Underground Storage, and Channels, then perform analyses on them with new rainfall manager.
- Do it all right within Civil 3D. No external application to install and manage.
